Job SummarySummary
:
Assists with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the building and campus. Repairs, maintains and assists in the installation of equipment.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various types of metering for Chilled Water, Hot Water and Domestic Water production systems for compliance requirements on an annual basis.
- Install, modify, and maintain hardware components for utilities controls and metering systems including enclosures, electrical conduit, sensor wiring, communications wiring, power supplies, etc.
- Responsible for all utility reimbursement/billing monthly for the campus, including meter reading, compiling, and verifying all utilities metering data for the reimbursement/billing system.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on Energy Management System (EMS) and various utilities control systems instrumentation, including graphics, point database maintenance, and communications infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs) and lift station controls.
- Understand and troubleshoot equipment following proper control sequences of operation.
- Maintain proper documentation for IP addresses and BACnet IDs.
- Perform integration of various controllers and communication protocols.
- Maintain alarm notifications, energy setbacks, scheduling, reviewing construction documents, performing inspections, and commissioning on existing control systems as needed.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and replace Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Utilize advanced test equipment such as ultrasonic flow meters, digital multimeters, oscilloscope, and other specialized tools to troubleshoot instrumentation.
- Assist leadership and engineers by compiling utilities production and consumption data for efficiency analysis and planning.
- Assist leadership and engineers with institutional knowledge for system design and future planning. Review construction drawings for EMS, Utilities Controls and Utilities metering systems.
- Provide oversight for proper implementation of EMS and Utilities metering systems for new building construction.
- Coordinate, manage and monitor contractor activities for EMS and Utilities system controls initiatives during planning and implementation.
- Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders.
- Read and maintain system blueprints and schematics; maintain logs and records of system operations to help create KPIs.
- Maintain records, initiate purchases of materials and parts used for repairs.
- Drive USF vehicles, clean and maintain shop, and clean/maintain personal equipment and tools.
- May provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Perform hurricane preparation duties such as clearing roof drains and deploying sandbags.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.
