Operations Manager
Automotive Development Group is seeking a Corporate Construction Director to lead and scale our national Construction Department. This is a high‑accountability leadership role responsible for operational execution, margin protection, forecasting accuracy, and team performance.
We are looking for an operationally driven construction leader who thrives on structure, process discipline, measurable performance, and delivering projects On Time, On Budget, To Standard — Every Time.
What You’ll Own- Full LMA (Lead, Manage & Accountability) of the Construction Group
- Department profitability and margin performance
- Forecasting accuracy and master project projections
- Project scheduling, phasing, and milestone execution
- Risk management and issue mitigation
- Subcontractor network growth and performance
- Safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Executive reporting to senior leadership
- Complete project ownership
- Protected and optimized margins
- Accurate forecasting and cost controls
- High-performing, accountable Project Managers & Superintendents
- Standardized processes across national projects
- Raving Fans — clients who return and refer
- Lead and hold accountable Project Managers, Superintendents, and Construction Administrators
- Set clear KPIs and performance expectations
- Drive process discipline across all construction workflows
- Strengthen internal systems including scope development, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and value optimization
- Monitor and protect margins across all projects
- Identify recurring operational inefficiencies and implement corrective action
- Deliver clear financial reporting to senior leadership
- Oversee projects from concept through completion
- Ensure scopes of work are clear, enforceable, and aligned with contract obligations
- Manage risk planning, phasing schedules, and master projections
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations
- Expand and strengthen a national subcontractor network
- Elevate relationships with dealer groups, architects, engineers, and GCs
- Partner with Sales and Design to ensure seamless project delivery
- 5+ years of construction leadership experience (multi-site or corporate environment preferred)
- Proven success managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen (forecasting, budgeting, margin management)
- Experience leading teams with clear accountability systems
- Deep understanding of construction operations, safety, and compliance
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar)
PMP certification or equivalent.
