Position SummaryTPC Tampa Bay is seeking a motivated Second Assistant Superintendent to join our high‑performing agronomy team. This role is ideal for a turf professional who is passionate about championship‑level conditioning, leadership development, and advancing their career in a dynamic golf environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in daily golf course maintenance and operations
- Supervise and train maintenance staff
- Support irrigation scheduling and water management
- Monitor turf health, pest control, and fertility programs
- Assist with course setup and tournament preparation
- Maintain accurate records and ensure safety compliance
- Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA) preferred
- Pesticide Application certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
