To serve as a second level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory and supervisory employees assigned to US Central Command Headquarters Commandant office at Mac Dill AFB and the US Central Command Forward Headquarters Commandant office at Al Udeid Airbase, Qatar.

Conditions of Employment continued:

This meets the criteria of an E-E position and requires that the incumbent or designated alternate to be removed from any military recall status. All E-E employees must perform E-E duties during a crisis and/or after noncombatants evacuate.

Consequently, the incumbent is often performing the role as the Headquarters Commandant and needs to be able to operate at a commensurate rank.
