• Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency management plans and procedures.
• Coordinate training and drills for staff and community partners to enhance preparedness.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency response agencies and stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate emergency response efforts, making recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare and manage the emergency management budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to emergency management.
• Lead post-incident reviews to analyse response effectiveness and implement lessons learned.

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of emergency management principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing teams during crises.
• Certification in emergency management (e.g., CEM, TEM, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and emergency management software.
