Digital Print Operator

We are looking for a talented, self motivated, full time digital production specialist to join our team. The right individual will collaborate with the customer service team and our clients to produce products that drive results for our clients.

We will provide the right candidate on the job training.

We have an opportunity available for a skilled Digital Production Specialist that can help us to efficiently service our customers.

The primary areas of responsibility will be to operate our digital printer, sign printers, and other multi-function devices. Other responsibilities will include bindery and occasional deliveries.

• Perform key operator services on digital copiers/printers and multi-function devices
• Copy center management/RIP management
• Impose page layouts for cost effective production
• Managing multiple machines at once
• Maintain digital printers and adequate supplies on hand
• Work with service technicians when necessary
• Perform quality checks on all jobs; responsible for notifying management of poor quality or incorrect jobs
• Training will be provided, but experience is a plus

• Large format finishing such as: laminating, trimming, or grommeting
• Print material finishing such as: folding, cutting, gluing, numbering, or bookleting
• Package jobs, complete job tickets/work orders and delivery receipts as necessary
• Organize and load orders for delivery
• Communicate effectively with the management and production team regularly to guarantee that customer objectives and deadlines are met

• Work with other staff members to exceed customer satisfaction and service expectations
• Interacting with vendors and technicians, including over the phone
• Occasional pick up and deliveries
• Ordering supplies and making service calls
• Additional duties and projects as assigned by management

• Ability to follow production schedules and meet deadlines
• Good organizational skills for managing multiple jobs at once
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Friendly personality and good attitude with a commitment to provide a high level of service
• Ability to prioritize
• Must have a keen eye for color
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required
• Minimum of six months in production type workplace
• Good mathematical skills
• Someone who is comfortable with computers and technology and capable and willing to learn new software and technologies
• Knowledge of digital printing equipment (primarily Ricoh / HP printers and Fiery RIP devices) and all manner of bindery equipment is preferred but not required

• Frequent lifting of as much as 50 pounds
• Standing for as long as an entire shift
• Loud noise sporadically
• Subject to frequent priority changes where a fast-pace and short notice occur regularly
• 60% of day spent on digital production, 25% of day spent on bindery, 15% of day spent on sign production

• Compensation is $18.00 per hour
• Eligible for benefits after three months of employment
• Paid vacation time after three months of employment

• Experience in the printing or design field is preferred but not required

• Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Applicants must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job which will include lifting boxes as heavy as 50 pounds. Training on equipment and software will be provided.
