Department Lead – Packaging (3rd Shift) Tampa, FL
Join Lonza’s Tampa site as a Department Lead in Packaging on 3rd shift, where you’ll help drive safe, compliant, and efficient packaging operations that support our mission of improving patients’ lives. This role offers the opportunity to lead operators, support continuous improvement, and play a key part in a high‑impact manufacturing environment.

- Lead Packaging operations, ensuring batch record execution and documentation meets cGMP standards.
- Support Manufacturing, QA, Warehouse, and Facilities teams to ensure alignment with FDA and company requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate cleaning and sanitization of primary and secondary packaging rooms and equipment.
- Assign and direct staff to production rooms to ensure smooth operations and address packaging‑related blocking issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and help set up automated machinery for packaging processes.
- Reconcile and move materials between packaging areas and the warehouse.
- Train Operators and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with SQDC goals.
- 4+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing, packaging, or GMP‑regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and documentation practices.
- Ability to lead others, troubleshoot equipment, and support cross‑functional operations.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work effectively on a 3rd‑shift schedule.
- Experience with automated packaging equipment is a plus.
