Department Lead – Packaging (3rd Shift) Tampa, FL

Join Lonza’s Tampa site as a Department Lead in Packaging on 3rd shift, where you’ll help drive safe, compliant, and efficient packaging operations that support our mission of improving patients’ lives. • Lead Packaging operations, ensuring batch record execution and documentation meets cGMP standards.
• Support Manufacturing, QA, Warehouse, and Facilities teams to ensure alignment with FDA and company requirements.
• Oversee and coordinate cleaning and sanitization of primary and secondary packaging rooms and equipment.
• Assign and direct staff to production rooms to ensure smooth operations and address packaging‑related blocking issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and help set up automated machinery for packaging processes.
• Reconcile and move materials between packaging areas and the warehouse.
• Train Operators and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with SQDC goals.

• 4+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing, packaging, or GMP‑regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and documentation practices.
• Ability to lead others, troubleshoot equipment, and support cross‑functional operations.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work effectively on a 3rd‑shift schedule.
• Experience with automated packaging equipment is a plus.
