Operations Director

Description

We are seeking a results-driven Operations Director to lead and manage operational performance at our Trinity, Florida optical manufacturing facility.

This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across production, quality, supply chain coordination, and workforce leadership while ensuring the successful delivery of advanced optical components and systems to major Defense and Aerospace customers. The Operations Director will play a key role in strengthening operational execution, scaling manufacturing capability, and supporting the continued growth of our Optical Systems business in the United States.

This is an onsite leadership role based in Trinity, Florida.

• Lead and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations at the Trinity production facility, ensuring quality, delivery, cost, and safety targets are consistently met or exceeded.
• Drive operational performance improvements through lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead manufacturing teams responsible for precision optical component and system production.
• Partner closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.
• Support production readiness and scaling of high-mix, low-volume optical manufacturing programs.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support growth while maintaining strong compliance, quality, and safety standards.
• Maintain strong customer focus, particularly when supporting programs with major Defense and Aerospace customers.
• Foster a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Build and develop operational leadership capability across the Trinity site.

• Infrared (IR) lens and zoom lens assemblies
• Precision coated optics
• Periscope and sighting systems
• Advanced reticles and custom optical components

• Proven experience in senior operational leadership roles within the precision optics or optical systems industry (required).
• Strong track record leading complex manufacturing operations in high-precision environments.
• Experience operating in regulated environments supporting Defense or Aerospace programs.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, operational scaling, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing manufacturing teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
