Skills Required Primary (Must-Have)

  • Previous experience in machining, machine operation, or CNC setup required
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment and performing machine setups
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and in-process documents accurately
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate instructions in English
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and manufacturing quality standards
Secondary (Good to Have)
  • Basic CNC program editing knowledge

Position Overview

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating computerized numerical control (CNC) equipment including lasers, EDM CNC machining centers, CNC grinders, and manual machining equipment. This role supports production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety while ensuring compliance with company quality standards and preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong machining knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and attention to detail within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate assigned CNC and manual machining equipment
  • Operate lasers, CNC/EDM machining centers, CNC grinders, and related production machinery
  • Perform machining operations according to engineering specifications and work instructions
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect and verify part quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine setup and operational issues
  • Maintain production standards, quality requirements, and workflow efficiency
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Comply with TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) Program requirements
  • Ensure adherence to CTQ (Critical to Quality) Program standards
  • Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO-9000 quality requirements
  • Adhere to Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
  • Support additional facility tasks and assist production operations as needed
