Production Manager, Production QC/QA

The business specializes in high-quality dry blending and food ingredient solutions and operates under strict food safety and quality standards. The Opportunity:We are seeking a hands‑on, results‑driven Production Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations at a SQF‑certified dry blending facility in Tampa, FL
.
This is a floor‑based leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment, takes ownership, and drives performance through both people and process excellence.

JobDuties & Responsibilities:
- Champion a strong food safety culture aligned with SQF, HACCP, GMP, and CFIA requirements
- Lead by example in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
- Identify risks proactively and implement corrective actions immediately
- Lead incident and near‑miss investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and follow‑through on corrective actions
- Ensure full compliance with safety policies, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards
- Oversee daily production across multiple blending rooms, ensuring output, efficiency, and schedule adherence
- Set priorities, allocate resources, and adjust plans in real time to meet operational demands
- Monitor production flow and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime
- Ensure accurate and timely production reporting
- Operate primarily on a day shift schedule (Monday to Friday), with flexibility required to support production continuity, including:
Earlier starts to overlap with night shift - Later stays to connect with afternoon shift
- Provide clear direction, expectations, and accountability to team members
- Lead a team of approximately 15 employees in a hands‑on, visible manner
- Foster a positive, engaged, and performance‑driven work environment
- Support coaching, development, and consistent performance management
Competencies:
- 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong floor leadership presence; leads by example
- Confident decision‑maker with sound judgment in fast‑paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in production reporting and basic computer systems (e.g., MS Office or equivalent)
- Post‑secondary education in food science, manufacturing, operations, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience will be considered
Qualifications:
While education and experience are important, the organization places strong emphasis on attitude, accountability, and leadership presence.
