Under the direction of the supervisor, the 3rd shift Blending Operator will manufacture a variety of liquid products within set specifications. The Blending associate is responsible for the quality of blends, accurate completion of all paperwork, sanitation of blending rooms and taking all samples that are required.
Responsibilities:- Verify all the raw ingredients are present before beginning the weighing process
- Weigh each ingredient and add to the vessel in the specified order according to the job and mixing instructions
- Accurately document all lot numbers for each component onto a batch sheet for traceability purposes
- Communicates and works together with QA to maintain all standards and practices of the food industry in accordance with FDA and State regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times to prevent cross contamination and build up
- Comply and adhere to all GMP’s policies and safety procedures
- Accurately measure conversions and ingredients
- Clean and sanitize all equipment according to GMP standards
- Additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment with blending powdered food materials
- Ability to use calculator and other measurement instruments
- Basic computer skills a plus
- Flexibility for overtime when needed
- Must be able to read/write English
- Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely
- Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish)
- Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours is this something you would be comfortable with
