The Test Technician at Jabil, Inc. performs functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies and systems to ensure product quality and reliability. This role requires adherence to established test procedures and a keen eye for detail in identifying and resolving technical issues.
Job Responsibilities- Execute defined test plans and procedures for electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
- Utilize various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and specialized test fixtures.
- Identify and diagnose failures to the component level using schematics, block diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform rework and repair on defective units according to documented procedures and quality standards.
- Document test results, defects, and repair actions accurately in designated systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve test processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and quality management system requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to test processes and product quality.
- Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to use common electronic test equipment (e.g., DMM, oscilloscope, power supply).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610) is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with data entry and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge on 3-phase power circuit, electrical experience in dealing power circuits is an advantage, knowledge in handling HI POT, thermal testers, and functional testers.
PM and equipment calibration is a plus factor.
