CNC Burn Table Operator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Burn Table Operator to join our team. In this role, you will manage CNC Plasma Oxy Fuel tables and Drill Mill lines, performing tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. You will be responsible for translating drawings into production dimensions, setting up machines, and ensuring precision and quality in all tasks.
Responsibilities- Set up and manage CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform jobs including drilling, grinding, and milling.
- Translate drawings into dimensions for production.
- Oversee the machines and make necessary adjustments.
- Set up plasma torch with correct consumables.
- Safely load materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Select, align, and run provided programs from the shop server.
- Examine parts for cut quality and accuracy.
- Verify part dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
- Remove burrs, slag, and edges using grinders and equipment.
- Proficiency in CNC machine operations and plasma torch handling.
- Experience with CNC lathe, CNC mill, and machining.
- Ability to operate and maintain burn tables.
- Competence in using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CNC machine operator.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in steel fabrication.
- Strong understanding of machine operating principles.

Work in an industrial fabrication shop that is hot, dirty, and dusty. The facility features open‑air conditions with 2‑5 fans operating. Reliable transportation is necessary as travel between multiple locations may be required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
