Press Operator; 3rd Shift

Taylor Corporation is a growing, dynamic company that powers employee potential and creates opportunity. We are seeking a Press Operator for our Tampa, FL location.

3rd Shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Tampa, FL.

• Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely; identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
• Set up and adjust the press for job runs to meet specifications.
• Monitor product quality during job runs and check work against specifications; take action to correct any quality issues.
• Monitor equipment during job runs, remain alert to mechanical issues, and refer problems to maintenance as needed.
• Start and run jobs in alignment with the production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.

• Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude.
• Strong math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
• Ability to operate equipment and build proficiency as measured through production and quality standards.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders.
• Ability to communicate professionally.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others understand.
• Stationary position for extended periods.
• Operate machinery and handle print materials.
• Move within the facility as required.
• Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25+ lb.

• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Experience in a production-related environment.
