Assistant Production Supervisor

This position supports manufacturing operations by assisting with the coordination and oversight of production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. The Assistant Production Supervisor partners with production leadership to drive operational excellence, support team development, and promote continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.

As an Assistant Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting daily manufacturing operations, helping to achieve production targets while maintaining Jabil's high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. You will assist in optimizing production processes, improving operational metrics, reducing waste, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Education:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production processes, and quality systems.
• Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and functions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret reports, metrics, and production performance data.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with SPC systems and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or a similar industry preferred.
