Forklift Operator
Operates Forklift/Pull Pak in a safe and efficient manner following all IP's safety rules, policies and protocols at all times. Maintains housekeeping standards at all times Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Maintain work in process area in a neat and orderly fashion. Pull orders and stock to work in process area. Keep appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, inventory and records accurately – as required).
Maintain forklift/pull pack on a daily basis. Maintain baler. Responsible for managing the waste of the department. Comply with all IP's Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times. Other duties as assigned by managers and/or supervisor/shift leader.
Job Qualifications:
- Be able to read and understand loading instructions.
- Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
- Provide daily feedback to supervisor regarding all aspects of shift activity. Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Must have basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications and division.
- Must have ability to understand and accurately utilize KIWI
- Must have ability to learn and understand machine line up.
- Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, pull packs or other power equipment. Maintain the facilities' equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories.
