Sheet Metal / Brake Metal Fabricator

Location: Tampa, FL 33626 (Westchase area)

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-4pm

Pay:$18-$25/HR Based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal / Brake Metal Fabricator to support daily production of custom metal components. This role requires strong fabrication skills, precise measurement, and safe operation of metal-forming equipment. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality finished parts.

• Fabricate sheet metal and brake metal components according to specifications

• Operate press brakes, shears, notchers, and other metal-forming equipment

• Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication layouts

• Measure, cut, bend, and form metal with accuracy

• Inspect finished parts for quality and correct tolerances

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Assist with material handling and staging as needed

• Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines

• Must have sheet metal experience
  , including:

  • Shearing metal using shearing equipment

  • Bending sheet metal using sheet-metal forming equipment

• Excellent math skills to understand sheet-metal bending tolerances and measurements

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or brake metal work

• Ability to operate press brakes and metal-forming tools

• Strong measurement skills (tape measure, calipers, squares)

• Ability to read fabrication drawings and cut lists

• Comfortable lifting 50–75 lbs and standing for full shifts

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

• Precise and detail-oriented

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Good communication and teamwork

• Ability to work independently and meet production timelines
