Crate Builder – Manufacturing / Woodworking
Location:
Westchase, FL (33626)
Pay: $18–$25/hr, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM No overtime
We are seeking a dependable Crate Builder to construct wooden crates and packaging structures used for shipping and protecting products. This role requires basic woodworking skills, the ability to read simple drawings, and comfort using hand and power tools. Attention to detail and safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Build wooden crates, pallets, and custom packaging
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber according to specifications
- Read and follow shop drawings or work orders
- Use saws, nail guns, drills, and other woodworking tools
- Inspect finished crates for accuracy and durability
- Safely band, brace, and secure materials for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist with general warehouse or fabrication tasks as needed
- Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or crate building
- Ability to read measurements and basic drawings
- Skilled with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in manufacturing, shipping, or fabrication
- Familiarity with industrial packaging standards
- Ability to operate saws, sanders, and pneumatic tools
