• Utilize overhead cranes and forklifts to effectively load and align metal coils.
• Help ensure optimal production output by precisely installing and calibrating slitter knives, spacers, and tooling.
• Configure machine settings to achieve the correct material width, tension, and operational speed.
• Analyze production schedules, technical drawings, and work orders to guide daily tasks.
• Oversee the slitting operation, making real-time adjustments to ensure the final product remains consistent.
• Verify that finished materials meet all standards for thickness, width, surface integrity, and edge quality.
• Utilize precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to confirm accuracy.
• Support efficient logistics by safely packaging, labeling, and staging finished coils for subsequent processing.
• Maintain high standards of documentation by accurately completing production logs and material tags.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and assist with fundamental preventative maintenance tasks.
• Promote a smooth production flow by promptly reporting equipment malfunctions or material defects to leadership.
• Contribute to a safer workplace by keeping the production floor clean and organized.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team while operating around heavy machinery and industrial equipment.

• Prior experience working with coil slitters, sheet metal slitters, or comparable metal-processing systems is preferred.
• A background in metal fabrication or general manufacturing is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret production specifications and work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform necessary machine adjustments.
• Proficiency in utilizing both standard and precision measurement tools.
• Proven ability to manage the safe handling of heavy metal coils.
• Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes is highly desirable.
• Capacity to resolve basic production and equipment-related challenges.
