Our client, a dedicated public service organization, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Communications Liaison to join their team. As a Communications Liaison you will be an essential part of the Communications Department supporting community outreach and engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Communications Liaison
Location: Tampa, FL
Pay Range: $20/hr
Shift: 8AM - 5PM
What's the Job?
- Plan, schedule, and attend voter outreach events, including voter registration drives and educational presentations
- Work towards agency objectives of registering all eligible voters, providing clear and accessible elections and voting information, and encouraging voter turnout and participation
- Support candidates in running for office by providing information, entering data, and filing forms
- Draft and distribute press releases, make follow-up media calls, and serve as a liaison with media during events
- Assist in the development and distribution of marketing materials and social media posts
What's Needed?
- Four years of direct supervisory/management experience or a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Availability for evening and weekend events
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
