Summary The Community Support Specialist I – Third Party Events supports the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation’s community fundraising efforts by serving as the primary point of contact for emerging partners and a high-volume portfolio of more than 40 events annually. This role provides scalable guidance, fundraising tools, platform support, and event assistance to help partners plan successful community fundraising activities. The position supports partner acquisition, retention, stewardship, and revenue growth while identifying relationships with potential to develop into higher-revenue opportunities.

It also helps ensure that partner activities and materials align with organizational brand standards, fundraising requirements, and accurate donation handling practices.

Position Responsibilities Partner Support and Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for emerging community fundraising partners.

Provide timely, scalable support across more than 40 events annually.

Guide partners on event planning, fundraising best practices, and digital fundraising platform navigation.

Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and create a positive partner support experience.

Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, revenue, and event details in fundraising databases and customer relationship management systems.

Event and Operational Support Assist with event logistics, including timelines, materials preparation, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.

Provide on-site support during peak event periods and participate in check presentations as needed.

Coordinate internal resources to address event needs and partner requests.

Gather event feedback and insights to improve future support and processes.

Fundraising Support and Revenue Enablement Provide partners with tools, templates, and resources designed to strengthen fundraising outcomes.

Offer foundational strategic guidance to improve event execution, messaging, promotional efforts, and donor engagement.

Onboard new community partners and events in support of acquisition goals.

Encourage repeat participation and year-over-year growth to support partner retention.

Track partner progress and identify opportunities to improve revenue performance.

Stewardship, Retention and Pipeline Development Implement stewardship practices that thank, recognize, and retain emerging partners.

Build relationships that encourage long-term engagement and loyalty.

Identify partners with the potential to grow into higher-revenue opportunities.

Assist with identifying and soliciting new community fundraising partners.

Maintain a healthy pipeline of new and returning partners.

Brand Alignment, Compliance and Fund Management Ensure partner materials and event promotions follow organizational brand guidelines.

Review basic fundraising collateral for accuracy, brand alignment, and compliance.

Educate partners on organizational policies and ethical fundraising standards.

Support accurate fund management through proper donation handling and reporting.

Collaborate with Foundation colleagues and internal partners to resolve compliance or fund-related concerns.
