The Social Media & Community Intern at Not Your Mother’s supports the day-to-day engagement, community building, and content creation efforts across the brand’s social ecosystem. Working closely with the Social Team, this role will help bring the Not Your Mother’s voice to life through thoughtful, timely, and culturally relevant interactions with our community while reporting into the Social Media Manager.
This person is highly tapped into social media and internet culture, excited to engage directly with consumers, and eager to learn how a brand builds meaningful relationships online. From responding to Tik Tok comments and Instagram DMs to helping develop content for Try Your Best (TYB), this role will have hands‑on experience across community management, copywriting, ideation, and social‑first content creation

WHOYOU’LL LEAD/COLLABORATE WITH:
Collaborates with the Social Team and cross‑functional partners to support community engagement, content creation, and social‑first initiatives.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE YOUR MARK:Community Management & Engagement
- Support daily community management across Not Your Mother’s Instagram, Tik Tok, and Facebook accounts, including answering comments, mentions, tags, and direct messages.
- Engage proactively with our community through timely, conversational, and on‑brand responses that reflect the Not Your Mother’s voice.
- Help identify opportunities to turn everyday community interactions into meaningful conversations and memorable brand moments.
- Monitor social conversations, audience sentiment, trends, and frequently asked questions. Assist with reporting on these elements and note feedback or opportunities to the Social Team.
- Stay tapped into platform trends, language, and internet culture to help keep community engagement fresh, relevant, and social‑first.
- Help manage and grow our community on the Try Your Best (TYB) platform by leading new challenges & rewards offerings
- Collaborate with the Social team to brainstorm fresh content ideas and engagement opportunities for TYB, leading all content creation needed for the platform.
- Assist with the creation of social‑first content for Not Your Mother’s owned social channels - including creating and editing short‑form video and imagery, appearing in content when appropriate, and capturing product and lifestyle assets.
