This position provides intensive employment case management to families serviced in Residential Programs.
Essential Responsibilities- Complete employment assessments for all clients entering the Residential Programs, identifying knowledge, skills, abilities, needs, educational background, work experience, and job interests; assess readiness for job referral, training, or support services; match clients with available opportunities; develop short and long‑term goals and implement individualized employment plans; ensure client conformance with the program.
- Conduct job development and search activities tailored to each client’s interests and unique circumstances; provide follow‑along support to help clients maintain employment.
- Assist clients in job search and retention, focusing on soft and hard skill development to secure higher paying positions and create sustainable career paths; collaborate with the education team and case manager to develop career readiness plans.
- Keep detailed records of every case, home visit, referral, and contact with resources; generate accurate reports and documentation promptly; safeguard client confidentiality.
- Provide assistance with employment‑related activities, including Employment Class, Orientation, Boot Camp, and Career Fairs or Conferences.
- Assist with transportation to employment appointments and related activities when required.
- Generate and compile client outcomes and reports in Clarity and Excel for program funder reporting.
- Support the team in other tasks as assigned and attend all team meetings; meet personal goals and actively contribute to team and organizational targets.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services (required);
Master’s degree preferred. 3‑5 years of case management experience. Bilingual preferred.
Heart for ministry; understanding of poverty; high maturity; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with low socio‑economic and diverse populations in crisis situations professionally and diplomatically; de‑escalation skills. Teamwork within a multidisciplinary framework. Computer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel. Oral and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license and car.
Physical Requirements- Must have adequate hearing and speaking ability.
- Must be capable of working outdoors in sunlight and higher temperatures on occasion.
- Must have the physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to handle job‑related issues and stress.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs. or more.
Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must pass required background pre‑employment screening. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and ability to qualify for the Ministries’ driving program.
