Job Title: Florida Green Schools Intern
Department: Florida Chapter
Location: Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater Area
Reports to: Organizing Manager
Duration: 11‑20 hours per week for 6 months;
August – February
Provide support to the Sierra Club Florida Chapter’s green‑team lead, volunteer staff, and community partners to strengthen environmental education and outreach programs for students across the state.
Responsibilities- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience or strong interest in writing, environmental justice, working with students, and grassroots environmental action.
- Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Word and video conferencing tools; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Good time‑management skills.
- Committed to self‑growth; demonstrates humility, openness, and a willingness to learn about privilege and power.
- Adopts a constructive, can‑do attitude, sense of humor, and authentic kindness.
Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. This hybrid role includes virtual and in‑person meetings; some evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
