AboutThe Role
Family First is looking for a mission-driven Donor Engagement Specialist to join our growing Development team. In this role, one will cultivate and steward a portfolio of base-level donors, helping move supporters toward deeper engagement and increased generosity.

Key Responsibilities Donor Engagement- Manage a portfolio of base-level donors with a focus on retention and relationship‑building.
- Execute appeals, donor segmentation, and campaign coordination.
- Conduct proactive, personalized outreach to donors through phone calls, texts, emails, video meetings, and handwritten notes.
- Identify new donor prospects and assess upgrade potential within one's assigned portfolio.
- Analyze donor data and reports to monitor retention, reactivation, and giving trends.
- Partner with the Events Team to support donor fundraising events.
- Accurately document all donor interactions and research in Hub Spot in a timely manner.
- Track and report on key performance indicators, including touchpoints, donor upgrades, retention rates, and annual fund revenue growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, customer success, or a relationship‑focused role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a variety of audiences
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to convey mission, impact, and vision in a compelling way
- Organized and detail‑oriented, with comfort working toward defined metrics and goals
- Alignment with Family First’s mission and values
- Experience with Hub Spot or a similar CRM platform
- Familiarity with fundraising strategies, donor stewardship, or moves management
- Ability to travel occasionally for donor meetings or events
