Description:

RN – Pediatrics

The Pediatric Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of pediatric patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Pediatric Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with interdisciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and updates plan of care in collaboration with pediatric patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies pediatric patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares the room environment.

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• At least one year of RN acute care experience
• Pediatric RN experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing

• PALS certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
