Position SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic care team. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, the LPN participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. This role functions within the parameters of training and licensure, while collaborating with members of the clinical care team and other essential departments to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care under RN supervision
- Assist in patient and family health education
- Share responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans
- Participate in team conferences and meetings to share knowledge and ideas
- Prepare, administer, and record medications in accordance with policy
- Assist in emergency care delivery when needed
- Supervise medical assistants in procedures; record information accurately in the EHR
- Prepare patients for physical and gynecological examinations
- Obtain required patient data prior to provider visits
- Perform in-house lab tests and screening exams (vision, hearing, etc.) per protocol
- Adhere to OSHA safety measures and HIPAA confidentiality regulations
- Support TFHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values in daily practice
- Provide float coverage to other centers as directed
- Assist in onboarding and orientation of new personnel
- Maintain CEUs and pursue continued professional growth
- Implement infection control standards and train staff on clinical equipment usage
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Active and unencumbered LPN license in the State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical practice experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth
- Flexibility to float between centers as needed
