Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an Admission Registered Nurse. You will direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions to our facility. What you will do in this role:
You will initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions.

You will review transferring information from other facilities and assimilates that with assessment data to assist team members to develop the plan of care.

You will act as a liaison with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities and other departments to facilitate a smooth admission process.

You will evaluate all scheduled admissions for appropriateness.

You will make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers.

You will coordinate the patients care and identified needs with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

You will coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals.

Requirements:
Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred. Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
