Job Description Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to identify and resolve patient flow issues. Supports systemwide process changes to improve patient flow and outcomes. Contributes to initiatives impacting patient flow and supports continuous performance and quality improvement. Communicates openly with leadership to ensure key decision factors are known. Serves as an expert clinical resource to reduce wait times and unnecessary patient movements.

Maintains positive relationships and excellent customer service with physicians, internal, and external customers. Ensures seamless patient flow, minimizing wait times and diversions, and promoting timely discharge. Other duties as assigned. Coordinates patient placement to optimize flow, outcomes, admission appropriateness, and cost efficiencies. Collaborates with house supervisors, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure appropriate patient placement.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to manage multiple and continually changing priorities and make rapid decisions [Required]
• Effective verbal and written communication skill and ability to handle conflict and reach consensus and collaboration [Required]
• Must have computer experience and proficiency in a wide variety of software, e.g…Microsoft Office applications [Required]

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field Of Study

• Graduate of a school of Nursing.

Work Experience

• 3+ clinical experience as a registered nurse. [Required]
• Critical care experience [Preferred]
• Unit level nursing leadership experience – i.e. team leader, ANM or NM role. [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications

• BLS & ACLS [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

Pay Range

$32.76 - $57.47
