Bay Care Medical Group’s Cardiac Center of Excellence, based out of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a board‑certified APRN/PA‑C Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery APP. At least three years of post‑training work experience with pediatric cardiac surgery patient care is required. RNFA certification is required.
In this full‑time role, you will be working alongside our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeons both in and out of the operating room. Experience in caring for pediatric cardiac patients in a variety of settings, including ICU, is required. You will also serve as a patient advocate, acting as liaison between patients and physicians. Schedule will include eight‑hour shifts Monday thru Friday, with the option to transition to four ten‑hour shifts once training is completed.
Call responsibilities include approximately 15 days per month.
Position requires:
Florida licensure and certification PA‑C or APRN. Minimum of two‑years of experience (within the last 12 months) in pediatric surgical subspecialty field, with first assist experience. APP must obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.
- Experience/training in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery as an Advanced Care Practitioner – must be able to provide case logs.
