Job Description and responsibilities

Supports outpatient GI office Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM.

  • Assesses and diagnoses patients’ and families’ needs to provide quality care.
  • Develops and communicates realistic problem lists for each patient in collaboration with the patient and family.
  • Implements medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures using necessary skills and judgment.
  • Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
  • Promotes effective working relations and works as part of a team to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure, and pursues ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Provides patient education and support to address identified needs
  • Monitors and evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Handles multiple priorities.
  • Independent discretion/decision making.
  • Makes decisions under pressure.
  • Works alone effectively.
  • Fluent in the English language (spoken and written).
Education
  • Associate's of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
Pay Range

$29.21 - $46.73
