Inter Health is currently hiring for 13‑week contracts with significantly higher base pay and benefits for purchase. Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience within the specific division being hired into and be deemed competent to work independently.
Responsibilities- Under general supervision, deliver nursing care to patients following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines.
- Plan and implement nursing care; document nursing assessments; identify and report situations requiring further intervention.
- Formulate and communicate goal‑directed plans of care; assure patient rights.
- Perform assessments and analyses of patients in the assigned nursing unit comprehensively.
- Ensure all patients admitted within the designated time frame receive completed assessments per policy/unit standards.
- Perform ongoing assessments, document per policy and procedure, and report significant findings to the appropriate member of the health care team.
- Initiate the discharge planning process based on initial admission assessment.
- Formulate individualized patient plans of care within the designated time frame.
- Communicate the plan of care to other members of the health care team through daily worksheet conferences, verbal communication during the shift, and shift reports.
- Document all patient care given, including assessments, plans of care, interventions, patient response, and follow‑up.
- Transcribe and direct the implementation of physician orders.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes and document the effectiveness of planned and implemented interventions and strategies per policy/unit standards.
- Include patients and families in the evaluation process.
- Provide appropriate patient assessment and care specific to the needs of the patient populations served (e.g., age groups, patients of size, diagnosis‑based).
- Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the specific physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients as appropriate to the populations served.
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans based on patient responses, contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Accurately and timely document patient care, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (minimum).
- Florida RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIHSS certifications required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a specialty unit and deemed competent.
