The Operating Room Pool RN will independently care for a sub‑specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards. Responsibilities include delegating appropriate patient care activities, maintaining professional accountability, and serving as a preceptor or charge nurse when assigned.

Preferred qualifications:

at least 18 months Operating Room experience as an RN. Minimum commitment of 48 hours per six‑week schedule.

• Care for sub‑specialty patients in the OR using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate patient care activities to other healthcare team members.
• Maintain professional accountability and development in accordance with best practice standards of nationally recognized specialty organizations.
• Act as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and, if required by department, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Associate's degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (Bachelor's preferred).
• Required:
  
  1 year acute care or interventional/perioperative experience, or 6 months RN acute care experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
• Preferred: 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
• Clinical skills appropriate to the position and strong interpersonal skills.
