• Independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• Also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; preferred at least 1 year Operating Room experience.
• Clinical skills appropriate to the position.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS (Basic Life Support); RN (Registered Nurse); ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department; preferred nurse specialty.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s Nursing or Nursing Diploma; preferred Bachelor's Nursing.
• Experience:
  
  Required 2 years RN experience; preferred 1 year Interventional/Perioperative internship.
