The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered nursing care in accordance with the Florida State Board of Nursing and TGH policies. This role provides comprehensive clinical assessments, coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary and ancillary staff, and maintains effective communication with physicians to ensure safe and seamless care delivery. The RN serves as a clinical and emotional resource for the care team, offering guidance for complex cases and contributing to optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include patient education, care management support, accurate documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols to uphold departmental standards, patient safety, and an exceptional patient experience.
- Associate's Degree
- License Registration – Issued by Florida or Compact State
- Knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, and regulatory standards as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills to identify physical, psychosocial, and social‑determinant‑of‑health needs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and accurate, compliant clinical documentation.
- Skilled in patient education and care coordination, including management of chronic conditions and complex care plans.
- Ability to function calmly and effectively in fast‑paced or emergent situations, adhering to all safety and emergency protocols.
