Job Overview

Serves as the clinical content expert for all clinical guidelines and registry requirements at the national, state, and CMS levels. Provides consultation to corporate offices to standardize and identify clinical best practices for outcome management across Institutes.

Location & Schedule

Full time, Day shift. 3100 E FLETCHER AVE, TAMPA, FL 33613.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates clinical outcome metrics, drives performance metrics, analyzes data trends, and coaches nursing teams to improve performance.
  • Oversees and administratively monitors clinical outcomes and process measures, working with staff and leaders to ensure consistent positive patient outcomes.
  • Leads Institute Quality and Outcomes committees with hospital and physician leadership to improve quality and value in alignment with strategic imperatives.
  • Analyzes quality, cost, and outcomes data to identify areas for improvement and implements changes to exceed national benchmark performance.
  • Manages clinical operations for outcomes and clinical registries, ensuring accurate representation and public reporting of clinical registry outcomes.
  • Manages Institute-related CMS, DOJ, or National Registry audits, developing and submitting corrective action plans to ensure compliance and uninterrupted reimbursement.
  • Collaborates with IT leadership on internal and external registry systems to ensure accurate data aggregation and resolve data compatibility issues.
  • Evaluates nursing staff through direct observation, peer review, and employee input, incorporating positive disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Drives fiscal stewardship and resource alignment with Institute priorities, collaborating on budgeting processes and performing cost and productivity analyses.
  • Manages team employment decisions, champions a diverse workforce, and develops succession planning and mentorship for high‑performing staff.

  • Advanced knowledge of CMS, DNV and State Regulatory requirements for specialty based clinical programs [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of clinical registries, such as:
    American College of Cardiology (ACC) National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR), American College of Surgeons (ACoS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP), Get with the Guidelines (GWTG), and Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Database [Preferred]
  • Quality improvement knowledge includes but not limited to CMS outcomes, Value Based Purchasing, Bundle Payment, NHSN Outcomes and other quality improvement initiatives [Preferred]
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
  • Masters of Nursing [Preferred]
  • Field of Study:
    Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field of study
  • Work Experience:

    4+ years of acute care, critical care, or other relevant experience [Required]
  • 1+ years progressive leadership experience [Required]
  • Experience in quality, process improvement or safety related work [Required]
  • Clinical experience working in a qua ternary care hospital system [Preferred]
  • Data analytics experience, including data analysis and registry harvest [Preferred]
  • Experience with managing national clinical registries as referenced above [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
