American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Circulator RN for a Level II Trauma Center with Ortho/Neuro caseload and pediatric trauma exposure.
Requirements- Active FL RN license or compact RN license required at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- CNOR and CST certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of OR Circulator experience required
- Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with neurology procedures such as anterior cervical fusion, craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, MIS, and XLIF
- Experience with orthopedic procedures such as ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reductions, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement
- Operating Room department within a Short Term Acute Care hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Ortho/Neuro heavy surgical caseload requiring comfort with pediatric patients
- On‑call responsibilities required with a 30‑minute trauma call response time
- Weekend requirement of 2 shifts per 6 weeks
- Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required, including during COVID‑related elective case suspensions
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Serve as OR Circulator supporting surgical teams in a high‑acuity trauma environment
- Royal Blue scrub color required
- Smoke‑free facility
- First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
- No RTO allowed on contract, though RTO needs may be discussed directly with the manager
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
- Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning to any facility within this health system as a traveler
- Returning travelers are currently only being considered for specific specialties (ICU, MICU, CVICU, ED, PCU, MS/Tele) and must have completed a contract within the last year since 7/1/2022
