The Nurse Practitioner is involved in a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co‑morbidities. Works independently within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of physician(s) under protocol(s).

Based in the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Department (BMT CI), this Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG), supports department Medical Oncologists, and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. You will care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy procedures, collaborating closely with physicians, pharmacists, nursing, and specialty services to manage complex treatment regimens and complications.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Provide direct medical care to BMT and Cellular Immunotherapy patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage medically complex patients with co‑morbidities
- Assist physicians with evaluation, management, and treatment planning
- Formulate differential diagnoses based on clinical data
- Develop treatment plans within scope of practice
- Prescribe oral and IV medications as appropriate
- Perform minor procedures within scope of practice
- Coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team
- Document patient care in accordance with medical staff rules
- ICU or hospital medicine APPs who enjoy high‑acuity care
- Internal medicine APPs comfortable managing complex medical conditions
- Oncology APPs seeking subspecialty growth
- Clinicians who value collaboration and continuous learning
- Providers motivated to develop expertise in transplant and cellular therapy
- Bachelor's degree at minimum; master’s degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program
- Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body
- Active BLS and ACLS (must be AHA approved)
- Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; previous BMT experience preferred
