Job Description:
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
- Evaluate and manage patients with vascular diseases including peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, aneurysms, venous disorders, and dialysis access conditions.
- Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient management.
- First assist in vascular surgical procedures as applicable and credentialed.
- Perform hospital rounds, consultations, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document clinical encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in call coverage and after-hours patient care as assigned.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, care managers, and other multidisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current Florida APRN or PA-C licensure.
- National certification as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
