Job Description:Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
- Evaluate and manage patients with valvular heart disease and other structural heart conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Coordinate patient care throughout the structural heart treatment continuum, from referral through follow-up.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, imaging specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary heart team meetings and case reviews.
- Provide pre-procedure education and counseling to patients and families.
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and post-procedural management of structural heart interventions.
- Monitor patients during hospitalization and coordinate discharge planning.
- Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing, laboratory studies, and imaging as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice and accordance with Florida regulations.
- Manage follow-up care and surveillance after structural heart procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts.
- Maintain compliance with all Advent Health and regulatory standards.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited program.
- Current Florida APRN or PA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
- 2+ years' experience in a Cardiology or Structural Heart setting as an APRN or PA
