Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety

As our project footprint expands across the country, we are looking for a key safety leader to protect our workforce, build client partnerships, streamline incident responses, and continuously elevate our safety programs.
The RoleWe are looking for a Safety Specialist who thrives on the road and excels at building relationships. You won’t just be auditing sites—you will be the face of LEAD’s safety culture. You’ll work collaboratively with our clients, oversee incident investigations alongside our in‑house Claims Manager, track key safety metrics like TRIR, onboard our Trade Associates (TAs), draft top‑tier safety policies, and lead OSHA 10/30 courses.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Collaborate on Job Sites: Travel nationwide (at least 2 weeks per month) to conduct hands‑on monthly safety reviews. Work hand‑in‑hand with client superintendents to ensure our TAs are working in safe, compliant environments.
- Oversee Incident Investigations & Claims: Partner with our in‑house Claims Manager and branch teams to ensure prompt, thorough, and accurate incident investigations and support initial Workers' Compensation claims management.
- Track Metrics & TRIR: Maintain accurate recordkeeping of safety inspections, near misses, and incidents. Calculate branch and company‑wide TRIR to identify safety trends and areas for proactive improvement.
- Build Strong Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted partner and consultative resource for our clients, demonstrating how LEAD's commitment to safety adds value to their projects.
- Elevate Our Safety Policies: Continuously update and enhance our written safety programs, manuals, and standard operating procedures so LEAD stays ahead of industry standards as we scale.
- Teach & Train: Lead engaging virtual and in‑person OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification classes for our TAs, internal staff, and branch teams.
- Onboard Trade Associates: Welcome new TAs to the team, providing thorough safety orientations that empower them to recognize and address hazards from day one.
- OSHA 500 Certification: Must be an authorized OSHA Construction Trainer (or willingness to obtain).
- Investigations & Data
Skills:
Experience conducting site incident investigations, collaborating on Workers' Comp claims, and tracking/calculating TRIR and OSHA metrics. - Policy Development
Skills:
Proven track record of drafting, updating, and modernizing corporate safety manuals and standard operating procedures. - Road Warrior Ethos: Excited and ready to travel a minimum of two weeks every month.

Skills:
Exceptional customer service, diplomacy, and communication abilities. You know how to coach field workers with respect and build trust with client superintendents. - Location: Ideally based in the Tampa Bay Area to collaborate from our local headquarters between travel assignments.
- Tech Literacy: Comfortable running virtual training classes (Zoom/Teams) and using digital site inspection/CRM/reporting tools.
