SUMMARY
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide quality control final inspection support, and shipping / receiving inspection support.
- Accurately interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, company specifications, sampling procedures, designs, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Utilize precision tools and equipment with accuracy for testing and measurement of product.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree in an aviation related field preferred
- At least 1-year relevant aviation work experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation related equipment (airframe, power plant, and or avionic)
- Certify visual acuity to NAS-410
- Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram or written form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

COMPENSATION AND HOURSThis position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non‑exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
