Basic qualifications include the following:
The Quality Inspector will perform visual inspection of solder joints and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 requirements. This role requires the ability to interpret process instructions, engineering drawings, inspection checklists, and manufacturing specifications to ensure products meet quality and industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Plated Through-Hole (PTH) components and be capable of determining accept/reject criteria using IPC standards. The position also involves the use of measuring devices such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other inspection tools.
Requirements:- Minimum two (2) years of solder and conformal coating inspection experience.
- Experience visually inspecting SMT and Through-Hole solder connections.
- Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
- Ability to navigate IPC specifications and accurately determine accept/reject criteria.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, parts lists, work instructions, and IPC manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficient with personal computers.
- Ability to effectively communicate quality concerns to all levels of the organization.
- Candidates must successfully complete a required medical examination.
- Weekend overtime may be required.
- IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 experience must be clearly reflected on the resume.
