Chemistry Technician IV | 1st Shift (Monday-Friday)
Perform pharmaceutical analytical testing for finished products, stability, raw materials, in-process and review raw data generated in the quality control chemistry laboratory in accordance with GMP guidelines and sample specifications.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:
- Follow cGMP and company SOP and test methods.
- Be ethically responsible for the data integrity of the lab generated data.
- Provide on-demand chemistry laboratory testing for raw materials, in-process, finished product, stability, water and cleaning samples to support the manufacturing department including but not limited to:
- Level 1 Tests: HPLC testing for Assay of active and preservatives.
- Level 2 Tests: HPLC testing for impurities.
- Level 3 Tests: GC testing.
- Perform and trouble shoot USP, EP, BP, JP monographs and in-house methods using wet chemistry and advanced analytical techniques/equipment, such as HPLC, GC, potentiometric titrators, etc.
- Perform verification of laboratory raw data.
- Perform training as needed.
- Revise analytical laboratory Forms, SOPs and Chemical Specifications.
- Write and execute investigations for analytical procedures and actively participate on Laboratory Investigation (LIR) root cause determination and conclusion.
- Adhere to Data Integrity and Safety (EHS) policies.
- Timely completion of assignments and duties to meet the schedule, departmental and company goals.
- Support Lean/5S initiatives.
- Meet the department and individual performance metrics.
Qualifications/Training:
- B. S. in Chemistry preferred, Minimum B.A. in Chemistry or related science.
- 3-5 years in GMP pharmaceutical chemical analysis.
- Fluent in pharmaceutical analytical techniques and test methods.
- Must perform pharmaceutical analytical techniques, testing procedures and problem solving both individually and as part of a team.
- Great time management, observation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask.
- Experienced in HPLC, GC, FT/IR, UV/VIS and equipment operation/technical troubleshooting.
- Daily/Monthly calibration and maintenance of different instrumentation.
- LIMS, Empower knowledge preferred.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English and possess basic math skills.
