Receiving Inspection Technician I

The Receiving Inspection Technician I is responsible for ensuring material received at Sypris meets all drawing and quality requirements prior to acceptance into the Warehouse.

• Inspects material in accordance with Receiving Inspection guidelines, drawings, quality codes and purchase order notes
• Engages with appropriate engineering personnel as required to determine acceptability
• Documents inspection results
• Generates all required documentation as required
• Enters all required system entries/transactions into ERP system

• High school or equivalent education. Associates degree, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related experience inspecting material for electronic manufacturing services
• Knowledge of basic electronics and component identification
• Good working knowledge of electronic systems and databases
• Ability to use tools such as digital multi-meters, calipers, height gauges and like equipment
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings
• May require occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds
• Good oral and written communication skills
