The primary responsibility of this position is to support the fast‑paced Molecular Genomics environment that provides a wide array of genomics technologies in the Microarray and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) areas. The person in this position will work on projects independently, multi‑task, and keep customers and team members informed of their progress. This position will also coordinate instrument maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment.

The Molecular Genomics Core provides high quality services in genomics in support of basic and clinical science research to identify molecular components and signatures associated with cancer biology and response to therapy.

• Draft SOPs, project quoting and billing, training of lab members, and supporting cell authentication services.
• Assist in the development of new Core services.
• Interface with customers of the Molecular Genomics Core and work closely with Core staff and vendors to support current Core services.
• Work independently, acquire new genomics skills rapidly, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain strong written and verbal communication.
• Assist with troubleshooting Illumina sequencing runs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Biotechnology related field with a minimum of 5 years hands‑on experience in molecular biology and/or genomics assays, including nucleic acid QC, PCR, quantitative PCR, column and bead‑based nucleic acid purification, microarray processing, and next‑generation sequencing library preparation and QC.
• Significant hands‑on experience in NGS sequencing library preparation and Illumina sequencer setup and operation.
• Proficiency at qPCR library quantification, Covaris DNA fragmentation, and Tape Station/Bio Analyzer QC analysis.
• Experience interpreting QC data from software such as FASTQC and Base Space RNA‑seq and DNA enrichment applications.
• Experience with automation solutions on Bio Mek and Perkin Elmer Sciclone liquid‑handling robotic instrumentation is a plus.
• Master’s degree in related field is preferred.

$75,153.00 - $. Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job‑related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
