Assistant Manager – Moe’s Southwest Grill
Position StatusFull Time
SummaryThe Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Moe’s Southwest Grill, ensuring the restaurant team creates quality food and delivers quality guest service in a fun, fast‑paced environment. The role includes enforcing company policies, procedures, and standards, leading people and financial management to achieve a return on investment.
Essential Functions- Interview and train team members for all restaurant operations.
- Ensure the restaurant team is properly trained for prepping, cooking, packaging, and serving food in a timely manner, and that the prepared food meets operational, food safety, and brand standards.
- Manage food flow, ordering, receiving, storage, and servicing to maintain high quality, proper portioning, and low waste.
- Deploy schedules and position employees; coach the team on operational standards and apply corrective action as needed.
- Maximize profitability by controlling costs of sales, labor, payroll, and other controllable expenses, and protect the business.
- Ensure management and employees adhere to operational systems and procedures, and perform all administrative duties including daily, weekly, and periodic financial reports.
- Maintain a fun, fast‑paced atmosphere for team members and guests, greeting guests with “Welcome to Moe’s!” and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction in quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Enforce sanitary practices, food handling compliance, general cleanliness, and maintenance of exterior, kitchen, and dining areas.
- Apply proper security procedures to protect guests, employees, and assets, and ensure safety to reduce injury or accidents.
- Maintain a professional image, including punctuality, cleanliness, uniform, and appearance standards.
- Consistently demonstrate actions and behaviors that best reflect the company values and perform all other tasks directed by leadership.

- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent experience in restaurant operations. - Must be Serv Safe certified.
- One year of restaurant management experience required.
