As a Shift Lead, you run the show when you're on the floor. You'll open or close the restaurant, lead the team through service, and own the guest experience shift by shift. • Lead opening or closing procedures and run smooth, high-energy shifts from start to finish
• Coach and motivate FOH and BOH team members in the moment — set the pace and the standard
• Own the guest experience: resolve issues on the spot and turn a bad moment into a loyal regular
• Manage cash handling, register counts, and end-of-shift reporting accurately
• Keep food safety, cleanliness, and Vale quality standards tight across every station
• Jump in wherever the shift needs you — line, register, expo — leaders here work alongside the team
• Communicate with management on inventory, staffing, and anything the store needs to win tomorrow

• Restaurant or retail experience with some leadership exposure preferred — or a standout team member ready to step up (we'll train you)
• Natural leadership: you set the tone, stay calm under pressure, and people want to follow you
• Accountability: you own the shift's results, not just your own station
• Strong communication with both guests and teammates
• Passion for healthy food and genuine hospitality
• Open availability preferred, including weekends and evenings
• Food handler / food manager certification a plus — we'll help you get certified
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
