The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Welcome all customers and set expectations.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
- Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Accurate and thorough use of technology despite time pressure and customer volume, showing exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
- Proactive, explore root cause of issues, forward thinking, ensures customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, solution driven.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance and help keep store clean, attractive and organized.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State licensure.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Sales skills—ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
- Embrace new technology and change.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
