Cake Decorator

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, being flexible to the needs of the business, maintaining in‑stock levels and controlling shrinkage.
• Plan bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs following recipe measurement instructions, working with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, nozzles) to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items. Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance and inventory management.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement by using hand‑held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality.
• Drive the performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date‑control standards, eliminating waste, preparing for seasonal events and identifying member needs. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve member issues and concerns.
• Model high quality service and products as a brand advocate, interact with associates to identify roadblocks, and assist in training and inspiring them to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities.

• 6 months’ experience in a fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Will successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.

• Cake Decorating experience.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. (The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.)
